Density of LOVE
Mid Summer is a typical story about kids on there summer days. The story gives us an idea what or how kids think at there age on a summer. The most interesting thing that I noticed in the story is that I think at there age they already have sexual urges, I think the children in the story are not Pilipino, because children here in our country are not that. Well these assumptions are based from my childhood experiences. I like the part where the kids use candies to describe other kids it was weird and funny. It’s a good indication that they are still children, yet at that summer time it marked a very important part of there life. Its that stage that they are maturing.
The other thing that caught my attention is the scene where the brother of the guy saw the two kids having fun and said SHIT. Because he saw his little brother having fun with a; not so good looking girl. So after the older brother took his brother and said he will introduce him to real éclairs. Éclairs are something like a metaphor for girls, using metaphors for girls its interesting I haven’t tried it yet.
I The Marriage its about the struggle of a husband that is not able to do his THING with his wife because his incapacitated. In there relationship its both of them are struggling well in the case of the wife she is kinda suppressed since they were married and for the guy he had a stroke the problem is his kinda; how may I say this ahhh his worthless, because he cant do anything.
In both of the stories Mid Summer and The Marriage I was uneasy when I read them. Both of them are very short and easy to understand but when I read it a few times more I realize that the story is telling more than what it seems. When you read Flash fiction you should pay attention to all the details to get the real message of the author its entertaining.
Ahh lesson learned from the stories love can be really happy and it can also be really sad. I realized that when you grow old the degree of love change, it will have more density compared to teenage love. Also when you are still young you should make the best out of life learn from experience to be a better person in the end and be prepared to for the consequences on making critical decision in our life

Final Flight
Honestly I am not a big fan of watching Pilipino movies but La Visa Loca was an interesting movie. I think the last Pilipino movie I watched was Batang X and that was ages ago. The movie was very entertaining, it was funny unlike any other movies the humor in the story was not force it was really funny. I like the story and the cinematography of this film; it was good all in all.
I think the main message of the film is what people will do to achieve there dreams and how people realize what are the important things in a there lives. The film depicts what our realty is. I think the story reflects what is happening in our country, people wants to go to America because they think that they will have a better chance of living when they are there, but in reality not everybody ends up that lucky. Most people are so used with this idea that they end up having a more miserable life.
A major symbol that I saw is the part where Jess allowed himself be crucified in exchange for his boss to recommend him to be a nursing aid in America. Its like when Jesus was crucified for our salvation. I guess that in Jess’s case he will do almost everything to achieve his dream, even to let his own father to stay in a home for the aged. But unlike Jesus story in the end I feel like he regretted everything he did to achieve his dream. Because he didn’t continue in going abroad.
I realized in this movie that you will only feel the importance of one thing when you are in the break of loosing them.
For our Philippine literature class overall it was fun. Almost all of the stories we read were interesting. They where good because I not the type that loves reading stories the stories we tackled entertained me masaya masaya!!. The only stories that I didn’t like is May Day Eve and The Mats those stories where kinda boring. The stories that rocked where Getting Better and The Tale of the Spinster and Peter Pan. The other stories where ok, some were cheesy but still good.
The things I didn’t like about the class is the part that we have to make blogs. It was a good idea but in some cases it was really troublesome in the part of us students. It was not that effective because we do it after the stories were discussed, so the tendency is we could just listen to the reporter and we can make our blogs without reading the story. I think it would be better if the students would pass a paper about the story before it will be discussed in class like in our Litform class. Well its just my suggestion so that the students will be forced to read the stories before hand, so when the stories are discussed in class it will be more interactive and more interesting. Another thing is that to be able to create posts in our blog we have to have internet access, its stressful sometimes because some students have easy access to the internet so its kinda stressful. Beside from that it was all good.
So finally in our Philippine literature class it was really fun I really enjoy this class. And the lesson I learned in this class madame! Some good some bad. If Im going to rate the class from a scale of 1 to 10 ill rate it an 8. I had a blast sana pass ako hehe!!! Last thing masaya pala mag blog hehe
